Q-switched Nd:YAG laser technology operates based on the principles of "selective photothermolysis" and the "photoacoustic effect."
The laser emits ultra-short pulses (measured in nanoseconds) that deliver high peak energy directly to the target pigment particles.
When tattoo ink or melanin deposits absorb the laser energy, the pigment rapidly expands and shatters into tiny fragments. These fragments are subsequently cleared away by the body's natural lymphatic system, causing the tattoo or pigmentation to gradually fade.
Unlike traditional lasers that rely on thermal effects, Q-switched laser technology minimizes heat diffusion to surrounding tissues, thereby reducing the risk of scarring and shortening the recovery period.
The 1064nm wavelength penetrates deep into the dermis, offering significant efficacy in treating black and blue tattoos, Nevus of Ota, dermal pigmentation, and skin rejuvenation.
The 532nm wavelength specifically targets superficial pigmentation and warm-toned tattoo inks (such as red, orange, and yellow pigments).
The 585nm dye laser handpiece is designed to enhance treatment results for blue and light-colored tattoo pigments, which are often difficult to remove effectively with conventional wavelengths.
